The night before the WIAA Girls' Hockey State Semifinals is always a night filled with anticipation at the Girls State Hockey Banquet.  The evening started with a welcome from GWHCA Treasurer - Jim Cabaj prior to dinner being served.

Once dinner was over, GWHCA President Hayli Hupp, introduced each of the state qualifying teams' head coaches and let them talk a little about their team.

The next award was given to a gentleman who coached boys high school hockey for 14 years in Mosinee.  He retired from coaching for a year and then was involved in coaching girls youth hockey for a little while.  Over the last seven years he has been coaching the Central Wisconsin Storm.  The GWHCA Coach of the Year:
