WIAA hockey playoffs preview: Area girls team face daunting road to state

Northwest Wisconsin has a strong tradition of top-notch girls hockey. Just check out the list of state champions for proof.

Hudson, Superior and St. Croix Valley have combined to give this corner of the state six state titles. In fact, of the 10 state title games in WIAA history, eight have included a team from the northwest corner of Wisconsin.
