The Wisconsin Selects Tier II U19 team has announced the following tryout dates for the 2025-26 team.
• Tuesday, June 17 from 7:30–9pm at Somerset Ice Arena
• Sunday, June 22 from 3– 5pm at Chippewa Falls Ice Arena
• Thursday, June 26 from 7– 9pm at Fond du Lac Ice Arena
The Selects are entering their 10th year as a Wisconsin Girls Tier II 19U national bound program. During that time, the team has earned eight USA Hockey National Championship Tournament appearances, placing second in 2022 and first in 2024. This past season the team lost in the quarterfinals to the eventual champion, Minnesota Premier Prep Yeti, who lost only one game all season.
The Selects have been a solid representative of Wisconsin girls’ hockey, as an alternative to the Team Wisconsin and Wisconsin Elite Hockey League. The team plays a pre-post schedule wrapped around the WIAA season. The majority of the teams schedule is played in Wisconsin with a single weekend trip to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and occasionally a game in the Chicago area. This coming season the Selects hope to play a weekend against teams in the Minnesota Premier Prep League in Minneapolis. The team plays between 24 and 30 games a season.
During the past nine seasons, over forty players have gone on to play college hockey. This past season, Selects’ alumni, Sydney Magnuson was named MVP of her college team at Marian. Several of our former players have gone on to captain their college teams. Hayward’s Reese Sheehan, a two-year player for the Selects, was named Ms. Hockey. Reese and the Storm’s Gabi Heuser, another veteran player, were the top two scorers in WIAA hockey last season.
This fall, seven of our graduated seniors are planning to play college hockey. Emmerson Berger and Ashley Slupe—Lawrence University; Gabi Heuser—MSOE; Addison Gruhlke—Beloit College; Greta Woelber—Marian University; Payton Dykstra—Aurora University; Rachael Beeck—Northern Michigan University.

Send your name, position you play, birthdate, high school team you will play for this winter, your email address and your phone number. Also indicate which tryout(s) you will be attending. The tryout fee for this year is $30–payable on the day of the tryout. You may attend any one of the tryouts or all of them for that fee. For those who are selected for the 2025-26 team, they must register with USA Hockey and the team fee is $1,200. Players will receive two sets of jerseys and socks, a team jacket, and a team bag included in their team fee.
