MUSKEGO, Wis. – The Brookfield Stars continued their strong season with a decisive 8-0 victory over Muskego Ice Force on Thursday night at Wilson Park Ice Arena. Led by a balanced offensive attack and a shutout performance from goaltender Sam Glapa, the second-ranked Stars controlled the game from the opening faceoff to the final horn. With the win, the Stars officially clinch the Classic 8 Conference title for the 3rd yr in a row.

First Period:
Brookfield wasted no time setting the tone as junior forward Cooper Simon found the back of the net, finishing off a feed from Caiden Mielke and assistant captain Tyler Kloida. The Stars maintained relentless offensive pressure, doubling their lead at midway in the period when captain Adam Sexton capitalized on a setup from Filip Zizka and Jack Templeton. Simon struck again midway through the period, registering his second goal off assists from Connor Hillig and Archer Hillig.

Muskego struggled to generate offensive momentum in the opening frame, and discipline became an early issue, as the Ice Force took two penalties in the period. Despite the man-down situations, they managed to prevent further damage.

Second Period:
Brookfield continued to showcase their offensive depth in the middle frame. Connor Hillig added his name to the scoresheet, finishing off a crisp passing sequence with Simon and Mielke. Just seconds later, Muskego’s penalty trouble caught up to them as Sexton and Hillig combined to set up captain Parker Dysart for a power-play goal, stretching the lead to 5-0. Dysart struck again late in the period, this time at even strength, converting a pass from Sexton and Brody McKay.

Muskego’s frustrations continued, with two more penalties stalling any chance at offensive zone pressure. Brookfield, meanwhile, remained structured in all three zones, limiting Muskego’s leading scorers, Ben Brown and Andrew Kunz, to minimal chances.

Third Period:
Dysart completed his hat trick just 1:47 into the final period, extending the Stars’ advantage to 7-0. The game became increasingly physical as tensions boiled over, resulting in a major penalty assessed to Muskego’s Brody Tews for head contact. Brookfield capitalized on the ensuing power play, as sophomore forward Mitch Steindorf converted on a setup from Sexton and defenseman Jake Wasielewski to cap the scoring at 8-0.

Muskego struggled to break through Brookfield’s defensive structure, and Glapa stood tall when tested, securing his conference-leading sixth shutout of the season.
