24-25 Boys Division 2 Top Six

RANK TEAM RECORD PREV MOVE
1. Tomahawk Hatchets 4-0-0
2. River Falls Wildcats 2-2-0
3. McFarland Spartans 3-0-0
4. Regis/Altoona/McDonell 5-0-0
5. Baldwin-Woodville Hawks 3-1-0
6. Hayward Hurricanes 2-0-0

The Tomahawk Hatchets open the season with the number one ranking in Division 2. River Falls is a close second playing in the brutal Big Rivers Conference.

Overall, 18 of the 32 Division 2 teams received at least one vote for the top six this week. Expect that number to shrink as the season progresses.

24-25 Girls Top Six

RANK TEAM RECORD PREV MOVE
1. Bay Area Ice Bears 4-1-0
2. Central Wisconsin Storm 4-1-0
3. Hayward Co-Op Hurricanes 3-1-0
4. Superior Spartans 3-0-0
5. Lakeshore Lightning 6-0-1
6. Warbirds 8-2-0

The Bay Area Ice Bears fresh off their state-runner up performance take the top spot in the first poll of the season with the usual suspects following close behind.

The Lakeshore Lightning are a newcomer to the Top Six after not receiving any Top Six votes for the entire 23-24 season where they finished 11-9-2.

Like with Division 2, 18 of the 27 Girls teams received at least one Top Six vote this week.

24-25 Boys Division 1 Top Six

Powered by their 8-1 win over Bay Port and 5-2 win over Notre Dame, the gap between the #1 SPASH Panthers and #2 Hudson Raiders is larger than the gap between the Raiders and the #5 Neenah/Hortonville/Menasha Rockets. The coaches who voted were emphatic in favor of the Panthers at #1.

Only 15 of the Division 1 teams got votes in the poll this week. The Middleton Cardinals were the unfortunate 7th place finisher, just off the list.
