Officially, the game ended after the first 8 minute overtime, per WIAA rules. But since this was the Championship game in the Groundhog tournament, they played another overtime period.
Justin Yute scored at 7:36 of the second overtime period with assists from Greg Simandl and Michael Del Vecchio.
Quinn Disrud stopped 39 shots from KMMO, and Tony Francois had 47 saves for Sun Prairie.
