Arrowhead Starts 3 Games in 3 Days with Victory

A rainy night in Wisconsin found Arrowhead making the trip to Waupaca for an Eastern Shores conference game against the Wisconsin Valley Union Eagles. Both teams are getting ready for the upcoming Eastern Shores conference tournament and this game showed how close it can be.

Arrowhead's Alexa Jarvis score at 5:30 of the first period with Sydney Parsons and Kendall Danielson to give the Warhawks a one goal lead. Wisconsin Valley Union went on the power paly with 2:29 left in the first, but were unable to capitalize on the opportunity.  The Warhawks led 1-0 at the end of one.

The Eagles were able to tie the game on an unassisted goal by Jenna Jones at 10:42 of the second period. The Warhawks regained the lead less than a minute later, when Kelcey Gilbertson assisted on Ahna Ruppenthal's goal. The period concluded with Arrowhead leading 2-1.

The Warhawks' lead increased to 2 on an unassisted goal by Rowan Smith at 12:57 of the third. Wisconsin Valley Union called a time out with 1:35 remaining in regulation. The game resumed with a face-off within the defensive zone of the Eagles. The Eagles were able to pull their goaltender, Kylin Wright, when they cleared the puck out of their zone with 1:15 on the clock. Fifteen seconds later, Alexa Jarvis concluded the scoring with an empty net goal to make the final 4-1 for the Warhawks.

Arrowhead will have Senior Night on Friday, January 26th, as the host the Medford Raiders. Then on Saturday the Warhawks will take to the road again to play Viroqua. Wisconsin Valley concluded 3 games playing 3 conference games in 4 days and will play their next game hosting Central Wisconsin Storm on January 30th.
