DULUTH — Riley Christenson’s goal with 4:23 remaining lifted the Green Bay Notre Dame Tritons to a 3-2 win over the Superior High School boys hockey team Wednesday evening in the semifinals of the Duluth Marshall Hilltopper Holiday Classic Wednesday evening at Mars Lakeview Arena.
Notre Dame entered the game ranked No. 1 in Wisconsin while Superior was No. 2.
““I’m proud of the guys,” SHS coach Jason Kalin said. “I thought we outplayed them a majority of the game and had a great effort, but they did to. It was a great battle between the top 2 teams and I think we woke up some people across the state. I think we also earned some respect from Notre Dame Academy.”
