Iowa team edges Waukesha 6-4 in final


Waterloo, 2011 Joe Raymond Memorial Champions

Waterloo (IA) scored three times in the third period and held on to beat Waukesha 6-4 for the Joe Raymond Memorial tourney title Thursday at the Nagawaukee Ice Arena.

The Wings converted just one of nine power play chances in the contest, while Waterloo scored twice in five tries.

Alex Runge and Zed Dietrich each tallied a goal and a helper for the Wings, while Doug Devoe added a pair of assists.

Waterloo goalie Chance Kramer had 19 saves, while Waukesha netminder Steven Broda stopped 22 pucks.
