Dillon Jackson (Grand Forks Red River) got on the board with a goal early in the second, and Rylee Vetsch (Grand Forks Red River) added a short-handed goal not long after. Nick Madsen (Eau Claire Memorial) got Wisconsin on the board with an early power play goal in the third. Noah Diemer (West Fargo High School) added the fifth goal for North Dakota in the third. Nolan Astrup (Fargo North) stopped 17 of 18 shots that he faced.
The first period saw neither teams score. Jack L'Esperance (Hartland) netted the first goal of the game for Michigan in the second and added a second goal with a last second on an empty net. Landon Stevens (Houghton) tacked on another goal in the second. Hunter Bill (Notre Dame Academy) got Wisconsin on the board with a goal. Landon West (Catholic Central) Scored an early power play goal in the third followed quickly by a goal from Logan Nickolaus (Byron Center) to give Michigan its fourth goal. Reece Cordray (Verona) scored the second of the game for Wisconsin. Jack Bowe (Chippewa Falls) scored on the power play to give Wisconsin its third goal. Nick Kutriak (Flint Powers) made 20 saves on 23 shots for Michigan.
