Section 2

Division 1

#1 Notre Dame 12, Sheboygan 0

Notre Dame scored 5, 3, and 4 across all three periods and allowed just four shots on goal. It was the kind of opening round game you'd expect for a team that is undefeated. They'll play #5 Fond du lac on Tuesday, the two have not met this season.

Section 3

Girls

#2 Warbirds 4, #7 Arrowhead 1

The game hasn't been scored as of press time, so we have no details of the Warbirds 4-1 win. They'll face University School on Tuesday.

#3 University School 8, #6 Lakeshore 2

Helen Bechthold, Eileen Carey, and Charlotte Fetherston each had two goals in USM's 8-2 win, and it was their power play goals at the end of the second and beginning of the third period that really put the game way. They'll face the Warbirds on Tuesday. The Warbirds won the previous meetings 2-1 and 3-0.

#4 Brookfield 2, #5 Fox Cities 3

The teams traded goals Stars, Glacier, Stars, Glacier, Stars, but unfortunately for the Glacier the pattern stopped at five and Julia Lindemann's goal at 14:46 of the second period was the game winner. The stars will face Bay Area on Tuesday. The Ice Bears won the previous meeting 4-0.

Division 1

#1 Verona 5, #8 Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells/Mauston 1

Verona got a 2-0 lead in the first period but it was a 3-goal period by Reece Cordray in the second that gave them a comfortable lead and 5-1 win over RWD. Verona will face #5 Sauk Prairie on Tuesday. They have not met this season.

#2 Edgewood 4, #7 Sun Prairie 0

The game has not been scored so we don't have any details of Edgewood's 4-0 win over the Sun Prairie Angry Birds (I assume that is what you call a combination of Cardinals and Wolves). Edgewood will face the winner of Saturday's game between Middleton and Waunakee.

Section 4

Girls

#2 Viroqua 7, #7 Beaver Dam 0

The Blackhawks scored 2 in the first, 2 in the second, and 3 in the third to take the 7-0 win. Rachel Simonson had a hat trick in the effort and the Blackhawks will host Rock County on Tuesday.

#3 Rock County 2, #6 Icebergs 1

The Fury needed all 63 shots they took to beat the Icebergs on Friday, with just two goals to show for it as Ava Gruner racked up 61 saves. Fury goalie Jullian Traver was no slouch either stopping 29 of 30. The goalies were .968 and .967 on the day respectively. Rock County will travel to Viroqua on Tuesday. The Blackhawks won both previous meetings, 3-2 and 4-2.

#4 Cap City 2, #5 Badger Lightning 6

This game has not been scored so we have no details of the Lightning's win over the Cougars. The Lightning will face the Metro Lynx on Tuesday. The Lynx won the previous meetings 6-0 and 4-0.

Division 2

#1 Saint Mary's Springs 13, # Stoughton 1

Springs scored 5 in the first, 4 in the second, and 4 in the third on route to a big win. Several goals by low-scoring players in the third period as Springs sat their top lines. Springs will host Monona Grove on Tuesday.

#3 Oregon 2, #6 McFarland 0

McFarland was right in it all game long and outshot Oregon 12-9 in the third period, but they weren't able to crack Nate McAlpine in the Oregon net. Oregon moves on to face the winner of Saturday's Beaver Dam and Cedarburg matchup.

#4 Waupun 5, #5 Monona Grove 6

It was a real barn burner in Waupun on Saturday as the teams needed overtime before Tyson Turner ended it in Monona Grove's favor. The Silver Eagles lead 2-1 after one, and 3-2 after two, but Waupun tied it up 5-5 in the third period on a Chase Beahm goal with just 1:45 left. Monona will face top seed Saint Mary's Springs on Tuesday. They have not met this season.

Division 1

#1 Brookfield 4, #8 Waukesha, 3

The Stars outshot Waukesha 51-33, they they trailed 3-2 midway through the game. Goals by Cooper Simon and Colton Schneider put them out front late in the second period and they hung on for the win. They'll face #4 Kenosha on Tuesday. Brookfield won their previous meeting 3-2 in overtime.

#2 University School 7, #7 Marquette 1

Two shorthanded goals by Mateo Nunag turned a 1-0 game into a 3-0 game and Marquette wasn't able to mount a come back, being down 5-0 before they got on the board. University School will host Janesville on Tuesday. The two have not met this season.

#3 Janesville 6, #6 Muskego 1

Janesville cruised to a 6-1 win over the Muskego coop on Friday. The game has not yet been scored so we have no details.

#4 Kenosha 5, #5 Arrowhead 4

The Thunder grabbed a quick 2 goal lead in just 2:18, but Arrowhead scored the next two to make it even. After two periods Kenosha retook the lead at 4-2.  Arrowhead battled back in the third, but Kenosha was able to add one more from Dylan Kozak to make it 5-4.  They'll face Brookfield on Tuesday.
