The Spartans dominated in all phases of the game. Not only did they score four goals in the first period, once in the second and five more times in the third, but they dominated on defense as the Red Raiders failed to record a shot on goal in the first and third periods.

Senior goaltender Scott Crawford picked up the shutout win for Superior with all four of his saves coming in the second period.

Cole Paulsen finished with 41 saves for the Red Raiders, who fall to 5-4 with the loss.
