A smidge more than one month and seven games into the WIAA girls' hockey season and the Appleton United is probably best described as better than it was yesterday but not as good as it's going to be tomorrow.
That's the approach the team is taking after improving to 4-2-1 in a 5-2 win over the Badger Thunder in a nonconference game at the Appleton Family Ice Center on Saturday.
