2022 Player of the Year Finalist, Tyler Fromolz

General Information

Tyler is a 4-year varsity letter winner in Waupun. He has been the starter for the past 3 seasons and shared time with a senior goalie his freshman season. He has been voted team captain for the past two seasons. Tyler has also been voted as the team's most valuable player for the past two seasons. Tyler's sophomore season he was second team all conference in the Badgerland Conference. His junior season he split first team and was awarded second team all state. This season he was voted first team all conference. He was recognized as a Badgerland Scholar Athlete by maintaining above a 3.5 GPA for a minimum of 10 trimesters. Tyler was also awarded Badgerland Conference Player of the Year. This is only the second time that a goalie has received the award.

Community

Tyler is an active member of the Waupun Youth Hockey Association. His participation allows youth goalies to get one-on-one training to develop their skills and passion for the game. Saturday mornings Tyler volunteers to help kids at Learn to Skate. He also officiates many youth hockey games for Waupun.
