General Information

Ian Engel came to our program this year as a very accomplished hockey player that has played most of his high school career on the Jr Gambler 2004 team. He shifted gears this past summer and made the Team Wisconsin U18 team where he lead the defensive group with 19 points in 28 games. He was selected as one of the top defensemen in the Minnesota Elite League and as selected to play in the International Invitational Tournament (IIT) on Team Elite White. Since joining the Rockets he has lead our team in scoring with 47 points. Ian has the ability to take over a game but his best attribute is that he makes the players around him better. As a very talented player coming into a new team and situation Ian has quickly garnered the respect of the locker room and brought a high level of intensity to our practices.

Community

When he is not playing hockey, baseball, or golf, Ian prided himself on giving back to the sports he loves. He spends numerous weekends helping out with the Hortonville youth baseball program and Fox Valley youth hockey organization.
