2022 Player of the Year Finalist, Callan Buddinger

General Information

Callan is a four-year varsity player at Notre Dame and a two year captain. Callan is a complete 200' player that consistently gets the toughest matches. Callan may not be flashy offensively, but more than makes up for it with his compete level and honest game. Callan leads our team in several statistical categories including: high danger chances, shots on goal, face off win percentage. Callan plays in every situation for us and is first over the wall on penalty kill and a driver on our power play. Callan is a leader by example with relentless work ethic to become the best version of himself every day. Callan is also a three-year member of Team Wisconsin. Callan has played back to back years in the Minnesota Elite League with 24 points in 33 Elite League games. Impressive numbers for the Elite League. High character young man and very deserving of your consideration.

Community

Callan is active in the community in several ways. Callan participates in the yearly Notre Dame Serves project which places students in high need volunteer situations inside our community. Callan has also been a consistent presence in giving of personal time to our local youth hockey learn to play and initiation programs.

Notre Dame Academy has a community service hour requirement to meet graduation requirements. Callan has exceeded those expectations yearly.
