Hudson starts the season as a unanimous selection for the state's top squad. In the words of one coach from the eastern side of the state, "Hudson a clear 1 at this point. Pulled away from several top 8 teams. Throw 2-7 in hat at this point and anyone could win. Pretty balanced after Hudson."

Saint Mary's Springs, Oregon, Rice Lake, and Homestead all received first place votes this week, but Springs was the only team that appeared on every ballot received and that pushed them into the top spot in total points.
Also receiving votes: Hayward, Lakeland, Marshfield, Mosinee, Somerset, Waupaca, West Salem.

All six teams in the girls top six got first place votes this week, but the Lynx had the most. Should be fun to see this shake out as these teams start beating up on each other.
