Sally James, a senior on the University School co-op girls’ ice hockey team, will be the Student Athlete of the Week on the Preps Plus TV Show on TMJ4 on Sunday, December 4th.  The show will be broadcast after the TMJ4 News Sunday evening.  It is scheduled to begin about 11:05 p.m. Sunday.

James is being recognized for the two goals against top-ranked opponents that she scored during the Gobbler Cup Hockey Tournament in Mosinee over the Thanksgiving weekend. The feature will also celebrate her consistent high-level athleticism, her diligence on the ice, her athletic intelligence, and her team leadership as a two-year captain.

USM’s head coach Jason Woods said, “Sally is committed to working hard, not only in games, but is a great role model at practice as well.  Her success is a direct result of playing the game the right way.”

USM assistant coach Tom Geilfuss, who also coached Sally in field hockey, added, "This is well-deserved recognition.  Sally is a great athlete.  She anticipates the way plays develop and makes moves accordingly.  She always seems to make the right play so our team can do well.  She's a winner and an outstanding competitor."
