MADISON, Wis, - After canceling last years event due to concerns with Covid 19, we are excited to announce that Mark Osiecki's third annual Casting for Kids, will return on May 22nd, 2021.

Headquartered for the first time at the Green Lantern Restaurant and Bar, this fishing event was created to help raise funds for children fighting cancer at the American Family Children's Hospital and the UW Carbone Cancer Center.

"With all the uncertainty in the world in which we live, and after conversations with others involved, we've decided to reset and move this year's event to May 22, 2021, which is the weekend before Memorial Day," said event organizer and UW associate head men's hockey coach Mark Osiecki.

Having raised over $160,000 in its first two years, Casting For Kids raises money by asking local fishing guides to take participants out fishing, along with national and local celebrities, in a catch-and-release fishing tournament. We will be capping off the day with an award ceremony and happy hour at the Green Lantern Restaurant and Bar.
