Eagles Defeat Lakeland 4-3 to Place 3rd in GNC Tourney

The top-seeded Northland Pines boys hockey team placed third in the Great Northern Conference (GNC) tournament with a thrilling 4-3 victory over third-seeded Lakeland at the Dome Saturday night.

The Eagles beat eight-seeded Tomahawk 12-0 to open the tourney last Tuesday and then fell to fourth-seeded Rhinelander 5-2 in the semifinal Thursday.
