Heartbreak, Robins end GNC tourney run with double overtime loss
The Great Northern Conference Hockey Tournament came to an end on Saturday, wrapping up an exciting week of play, which saw the Antigo Red Robins end in sixth place, after beating Medford Thursday and dropping a heartbreaker in double overtime Saturday in Waupaca.
Following Tuesday’s opening round loss at Lakeland, the Robins could take solace in the fact it meant one more home game for their seniors, as Medford visited the Multi-Purpose Building Thursday in a battle of the sixth and seventh-seeded teams in the tourney.
