2021 All-Independent Team & Ms. All-Independent

By Breanna Seibel, All-Independent Administrator, 01/28/21, 6:00PM CST

Ms. All-Independent

Success represents so much more than just goals, collegiate playing time and great statistics. The Ms. All-Independent Award aims to call attention to an individual that represents the total package: a great teammate, community service, academic success and contributes positively to the team in ways that are not always measurable. There are no age, team, statistic, or GPA requirements.

The Ms. All-Independent Award is a measurement of a person’s worth of someone who embodies all that is right with sports and a person who will have a positive influence on future generations.

Ms. All-Independent 2021:

Maddux Federici, Senior, Central Wisconsin Storm

“Maddux served as our captain this year and has done a remarkable job.  Last year, a group of well-established, talented girls graduated, and that required a lot of new girls to step in and play this year.  Maddux grabbed them, supported them and encouraged them to step up and fill those shoes.  She has been a great leader for this team and a great player for us on the ice.  After overcoming an ACL reconstruction her freshmen year, Maddux has been able to have a dominating season with 14 points as a defenseman and a +/- rating of +21. She maintains a 4.0 GPA in school and works hard to build the youth program for Marathon County Youth Hockey.  Great kid and definitely worthy of this honor.”. – Jacques DuVair, Head Coach of Central Wisconsin Storm

Maddux also served as one of the 2020/2021 girls U19 Team Wisconsin captains and will play Division III hockey next year at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin.

Maddux Federici
Ellie Brice

Ms. All-Independent 2021 Runner Up:

Ellie Brice, Senior, Western Wisconsin Stars

Ellie is an outstanding player, teammate, and student. Ellie is always giving it her all whether it be in the classroom or on the ice. She has a very positive presence and is always willing to help lift up and support her teammates. Ellie is an extremely coachable player that possesses many strong leadership qualities that she uses to help lead the team both on and off the ice. Overall, Ellie is a very positive, humble, hard-working, and driven player that is a role model to her teammates and those in the community.”. -Bailey Erickson, Coach of Western Wisconsin Stars

Ellie is also a member of the 2020/2021 girls U19 Team Wisconsin team and will play Division III hockey next year at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

“Both Maddux and Ellie are quality people in their community, school and sports teams. They are good teammates, very coachable, have great work habits and possess good skills within the game of hockey which allow them to continue their career in college. They have strong family support, and we feel they are very deserving of the recognition and that the girl’s possess the traits required within the Ms. All-Independent Award. They are coaches’ dream type of players. They come to the rink ready to play each game and we are very proud to have them be a part of the Team Wisconsin program” – Dave Witting, Jeff Jablonski & Breanna Seibel, Team Wisconsin U19 coaching staff
