The second period continued the scoring trend, with each squad tallying a pair. Addie Armstrong came in for the Lynx to start the period in net.

Sydney Raaths cut the lead to 2-1 just 34 seconds into the stanza. Lauren Johnson slid a cross-ice pass from the left to right, and a wrister from Raaths beat Sciborski on the blocker side. Grace Bonnell also had an assist on the play.

The Stars took advantage of Lynx penalty and scored on the power play three minutes later. Horman scored from the back door on a pass from Hannah Hiltunen, with another assist going to Gillard at the 4:05 mark to extend the lead to 3-1.

In the middle of the period, the Stars got another power play goal, with Alaina Schauf scoring on a delayed penalty. Zilisch had an assist on the play that made it 4-1.

The Lynx cut the lead to 4-2 on a nice back-door play. Kaya Pelton-Byce sent a pass from behind the net to Johnson, who beat the goalie on the glove side with 4:41 left in the period.

The period ended with Sciborski stopping three pucks, while Armstrong made 13 saves.
