Several individuals and teams were honored Friday night at the Wisconsin Hockey Coaches Association (WHCA) award banquet at the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center.
Long time coach Rusty Mitch was named the WHCA George Baumann Friends of Hockey Award.
Arrowhead's Carl Valimont was named the Bob Johnson Coach of the Year.
First Choice Dental honored eight teams (by sections) for the annual Academic Champion. This year's winner was Mosinee High School.
