Meanwhile the TW Junior team after losing their first game has put together a couple of solid games and on Saturday they beat a very physical North Dakota team 5-3.

Goaltending like their upper classmates shined on this day for them also.

Just over 11 minutes left first period Mack Keryluk got a pass from Riley Jelenik at the left dot and fired a wrist shot and scored for TW.

Barrett Brooks, who scored a pair of goals Friday repeated that feat again today. Casey Roepke forced a turnover which Brooks scored on for a 2-0 lead.

With time running out first period Alex Thundercloud gave TW a 3-0 lead after one period with a slapshot low and thru traffic.

The second period NoDak was able to get two of those goals back. Joe Heinert scored a couple minutes into the period then NoDak used a power play goal by Peter Loyland for a 3-2 deficit.

But once again TW scored in the final seconds of the period. Caden Carlson gathered a loose puck by the back post and tapped it in for the 4-2 TW lead thru 2 periods.

The third period had NoDak playing hard with a lot of pressure in the TW zone. With just under 8 minutes left W got the second goal from Barrett Brooks. He finished off a tic tac toe rush and TW was back ahead by 3 at 5-2.

TW goalie Jacob Mork  was put to the test by NoDak in the third period and they got a power play goal from Kyler Briske to get the game to 5-3. With their goalie pulled after that Mork when needed stuffed any hope of a rally and TW had a 5-3 win.
