Day two at the Minnesota NIT

Day Two at the Minnesota NIT saw the TW Seniors taking on team Massachusetts. TW held Mass to 10 shots and the offense scored eight times in a 8-0 win Friday afternoon.

TW spent lots of time in the offensive zone and finally broke thru late in the period but scored twice in 33 seconds for a 2-0 lead after the first period. Dylan Fox scored first when he stole a puck in the offensive zone against the wall. and got off a shot from the left circle. Zach Welsch got the second one shortly after when there was a turnover in the Mass zone.

TW continued dictating play in the second period and pretty much put the game out of reach when Cayden Laurvick slapped home a puck from near the crease for a 3-0 TW lead. Jack Rhode and Dillon Fox once again scored for a 5-0 lead thru two periods.

TW was able to put up three more in the final period to close out the shutout. TW picked up 3 points in pool play and face Minnesota's Junior squad Saturday afternoon at 2:30.

The TW Junior team used a pair of Barrett Brooks goals and single goals from Max Savaloja and Riley Jelenik to hold off the Minnesota Juniors 4-3 late Friday night. TW outshot Minnesota 43-22. The TW Juniors now play North Dakota Saturday at 4:45 in their final pool play game
