Central Districts, Day 3: Both Tier II girls teams advance to Natties

Wisco teams take six of eight on final day

SAINT PETERS, MO—Wisconsin teams won six of eight contests on the final day of the Central Districts, but the real stars were the Tier II girls teams, as both the 16U and 19U won to advance to the USA Hockey Nationals in Amherst, NY April 4-8.

The Tier II 19U Wisconsin Selects won its third straight game, defeating Team Midwest by a score of 2-1.

The 16U Selects scored a pair of touchdowns in defeating Team Missouri 14-0 on Sunday to go 2-0 on the weekend.

The Tier I girls split, as the 14U Madison Caps beat Team Missouri 1-0, but saw the 16U Jr. Admirals drop a 3-1 decision to Team Missouri.

On the boys side, the teams went 3-1.

The boys from TW went 3-0, as the 16U team beat Team Midwest 1-0 in overtime; the 15O team downed Team Midwest 10-1; and the 14U team edged Team Midwest 4-2.

The 18U Jr. Admirals lost to Team Midwest, 5-2.
