Jablonski, Nelson selected as co-MVPs of girls state tournament

Forward and defenseman lead Stars to first state title

Maddy Jablonski scored the overtime game-winner for the Fox Cities Stars on Saturday over Hudson, while teammate Tori Nelson led the tournament in points (4) and assists (3). As a result, the players were named as co-MVPs of the 2019 girls state tournament.

The Stars beat Cap City 3-1 on Semifinal Friday before edging Hudson 6-5 in an exciting double overtime game on Saturday for the state title. It was the Stars' first trip to the state tournament.
