St. Mary's Springs skates to shutout win over rival Fond du Lac
St. Mary’s Springs collected the 5-0 win at the Blue Line Ice Center on Friday night to retain the Sturgeon Cup.
FOND DU LAC – Trailing 1-0 to start the second period, Fond du Lac came out with a flurry of energy and activity, controlled possession and put a plethora of pressure on the St. Mary’s Springs defense.
Then, just like that, they were facing a 2-0 deficit and the Ledgers had all the momentum.
