Hudson Raiders girls hockey repeated as the Big Rivers Summer Tournament champions with a 7-3 win over the ECA Stars on Sunday, July 9th.
The teams played a round robin tournament with the top two teams advancing to the championship game.
Saturday, July 8th, the St. Croix Valley Fusion and Chippewa Falls/Menomonie Co-op played at 9:00 AM. The Fusion posted a 5-1 win.
The Hudson Raiders and ECA Stars took the ice at 10:45 AM with the Raiders claiming a 6-0 victory.
Junior varsity teams played the next two games.
The Chippewa Falls/Menomonie Co-op played the Fusion at 12:30 PM. The Fusion picked up a 6-1 win. Hudson and ECA jv teams played at 2:15 PM with the Raiders winning 5-3.
Hudson and St. Croix Valley played the next varsity game at 4:00 PM. Hudson picked up a 10-2 win. The Stars and CFM Co-op followed with ECA winning 7-0.
Sunday morning found the Fusion and Stars playing the first game of the day. The Stars claimed their second victory of the tournament with the final score 6-2. CFM fell to the Raiders in the next game 8-0.
Once again, the JV teams played the next two games. The Fusion defeated the Stars 6-2 in the first game. Hudson defeated CFM 5-0 in the second game.
The third place game saw the Fusion defeat CFM 6-0.
The 2018 BRC Summer Tournament will be hosted by the ECA Stars.
