EC Memorial hires ex-Badger Tok as next head coach

Eau Claire Memorial has a successor for legendary coach Mike Schwengler, who stepped down from his 20-year career in March.

At its Monday night meeting, the Eau Claire school board approved Chris Tok as the next boys hockey head coach for the Old Abes.

Tok played collegiately from 1991-95 at Wisconsin, where he registered 10 total goals and 26 assists in his four-year career.

A 10th-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft, Tok played minor league hockey from 1995 to 2001, including a season with the AHL’s Cincinnati Mighty Ducks in 1997-98.
