Tony Kujava began playing hockey when he was 5 years old.
The Green Bay native recalls the local hockey scene being much different when he started learning the ropes as a goalie at the Brown County Youth Ice Center in the late 1990s.
The St. Norbert College men’s hockey team wasn’t viewed as a national power back then, having advanced to the NCAA Division III tournament for the first time in 1997.
Kujava remembers attending Green Knights games when they played at the De Pere Ice Center.
