GREEN BAY – Mia Dunning began going to ice rinks as a figure skater when she was a kid.

It didn’t take her long to figure out what else she could do there.

“One day I went up to a hockey bag and pointed at it,” Dunning said, “I told my parents, ‘I want to do that.’”

Dunning has been doing some amazing things on the ice ever since.

The Green Bay Ice Bears sophomore defenseman’s strong play isn’t going unnoticed, either.
