Official end to a classy career for Milwaukee-area referee

When Whitefish Bay hockey coach Maco Balkovec looked at his team's schedule, he noticed something was missing.

 When Whitefish Bay hockey coach Maco Balkovec looked at his team's schedule, he noticed something was missing.

Sixty-three-year-old Jim Palmer wasn't listed to officiate any of his games.
 
"He told me, 'Hey, I don't see you. You've got to do one more,' " Palmer said.
 
So Palmer is, even though he retired as a boys hockey referee last year.
