Wisconsin products Mick Messner and Charlie Dovorany have been chosen to represent USA Hockey's U18 Select team at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in the Czech Reublic and Slovakia August 8-13.

The players were selected in conjunction with the Select 17 Player Development Camp last month in Williamsville, NY.

Messner is a senior-to-be who played his first two years at Madison West before playing with the Madison Capitols last season. The forward tallied 75 points (38g-37a) in 52 games for the Regents as a freshman and sophomore, and scored 79 points (40g-39a) in 55 games for the Caps last year.

Dovorany, a Wausau product, has skated with Shattuck-St. Mary's the past few years. The senior-to-be had 42 points (13g-29a) in 38 games with S-SM's Prep team during the 2015-16 campaign.

The team will hold a pair of practices (July 31 and August 1) in Washington, D.C. prior to flying to Europe in early August.
