The TW Boys fought valiantly in the game against Missouri Blue, playing from behind most of the game Saturday evening in America's Showcase before tying the contest midway through the final period.

But TW lost as Robert Seger scored his third goal of the game in the extra period to give Blue a 6-5 win.

After trailing 1-0 midway through the first period, Jake Berry scored for TW ten minutes in to tie the game at one.

Missouri Blue scored twice more in a span of nine seconds to take a 3-1 lead with six minutes left in the opening period but Nico Aguilar scored three minutes later to cut the deficit to 3-2, which is how the period would end.

Berry scored on the power play midway through the second to tie the game, but Seger kept workin', workin' and practicin' his night moves as Missouri went ahead once more with just under four minutes left in the middle stanza.

The back and forth game continued in the third, as Eric Swenson tied the game for TW at the 6:30 mark, only to see Missouri take the lead again a minute later.

Sixty-eight seconds later, Parker Elvy knotted the game once again for TW, leading to the extra period.

Seger ended the game for Missouri Blue five minutes in.

Spence Challe had two helpers for TW, while Berry, Elvy, Braxton Walby, Eric Schoneman, and Ryan Sabel each tallied one for TW.

Alex Jones stopped 23 shots for TW in the game.

TW will play Team Midwest at 9:00am on Sunday in Boys quarterfinal action.
