5 goal second period turns into a romp

  The Arrowhead Warhawks  ended their regular season on a winning note with a 8-1 road win against the Janesville Bluebirds. Sophomore Jaxson Carr had a hat trick in the second period which the Warhawks scored five times.

​  After getting on the board first early in the first period on a  Zach Trivett goal, the Warhawks went to work in the second period. Jaxson Carr scored a power play goal for a 2-0 lead.

​  Janesville wasn't able to get on the board in the second period and when Arrowhead scored 2 goals in 40 seconds to go up 4-0 midway thru the second period on goals by Jonathan Daury and Carr's second goal.

    Janesville found themselves unable to get consistent offense by taking 4 penalties in the period and when Arrowhead scored two more goals to build a 6-0 lead thru two periods the Bluebirds night was turning into a nightmare.

​   Janesville finally did break thru with under 9 minutes left in the game on a goal by Cullen Schumacher. The shot was taken from the right of Arrowhead goalie JJ Gerlach who got most of the puck but it slid slowly past him into the net.

​   Arrowhead was able to finish off the scoring on two late goals by Connor Akers and Jonathan Daurys second goal goal of the game.

​  Janesville Goalie Jack Bostedt finished a tough night by saving 17, While JJ Gerlach finished with 16. The Warhawks next opponent will be the first round playoff winner of Brookfield/CMH and Grafton. The Warhawks end the regular season 16-6-2.

​  Janesville plays two more conference game. The Bluebirds play Sun Prairie Thursday in Janesville
