The Rock County Fury was hoping to avenge an early season overtime loss to the Metro Lynx .

The Metro Lynx was having no part of that.

The Metro Lynx scored two first period goals and were able to hold off the Fury 2-1 in a Badger Conference matchup in Beloit.

The Lynx went up 1-0 not even a minute into the game. With a flurry of action in front of the Fury net, the puck somehow was able to get in the net with the goal being credited to Kenzie Imhoff.

The first period carried on with both teams trading penalties and the metro Lynx were able to score on their power play. Kara Epping was able to get a shot off and just like that 2-0 thru the first period. Shots were 18-4.

The second period saw a much tighter game and the Fury made it a 1 goal game. Senior Alyx Richards was able to get a shot off from the mid slot on a pass from Dani Heitsman and put it past Lynx goalie Gwen Parker. The shots were even at 6 each in the second period.

The third period saw Rock County trying to get the game even, but the Lynx seem to stuff their zones without good looks at the goal. The Furys best chance came with just over 3 minutes left with a point blank shot that was gloved nicely by Parker to preserve the lead.

With just under 2 minutes left then Fury was able to get goalie Molly Gross off the ice for an extra skater, but the Lynx played tight defense and rode out the clock to get the 2-1 win . Kenzie Imhoff figured in both Lynx goals with an assist on the second goal. Goalie Gwen Parker made 12 saves in the game, while the Fury goalie Molly Gross played great, making 33 saves.
