Trenton Bliss is a breath of fresh air in an age when high school hockey has become an afterthought for many elite players.
Bliss had options prior to the start of this season.
He's a draft pick of the United States Hockey League's Green Bay Gamblers. Had he tried out and not made the Gamblers' roster out of training camp, he assuredly would have had a spot somewhere in the North American Hockey League.
But Bliss, who fulfilled a childhood dream when committed to the University of Wisconsin after last season, chose a path less traveled.
