Hayward cruises in opener to 11-1 win

In an early season game November 21st, the Girls from the Hayward Coop overpowered the North Shore Storm from the Iron Range of Minnesota, with a final score of 11-1.

North Shore entered the game with a record of 1-3 on their season, suffering their most lopsided defeat and dropping them to 1-4 on the season.   Hayward starts out this season 1-0.

Scoring started early and often, with the first Hayward score  just 11 seconds into the game, continuing to a final score in the last two minutes of the 3rd period.

Shots in the game were 40-20 in favor of the victors.

Everyone on the Hayward Coop team saw the ice, including both goalies, as the game proceeded to its lopsided conclusion.  Two girls received playmakers, two received hat tricks, and the starting goalie was a perfect 18 of 18 with saves, in a strong team effort by the Hayward Coop girls team.

Hayward will face a much anticipated rematch November 27th, as they face the USM Wildcats on neutral Ice in Mosinee – a 2015 Championship Game rematch, which USM won 2-1 last March.
