Michigan scores five in middle period for easy 7-1 win

After a scoreless first period, the Michigan Seniors scored five times in the second en route to a 7-1 win over the Team Wisconsin Seniors Thursday afternoon in the CCM NIT tournament at Plymouth Ice Arena in Plymouth, MN.

Michigan held a 3-0 lead before Cole Paskus (Madison West) scored at the 6:46 mark to cut the lead to 3-1. Connor Freeman (KMMO) and AJ Romanoski (Hudson) earned helpers on the play.

Michigan scored twice to increase the lead to 5-1 as the squads skated off for the second break before Michigan added a pair in the final period to account for the 7-1 final.

Michigan was two-for-two on power plays in the contest.

Spenser Wright stopped 32 pucks for Michigan, while SPASH's Nathan Siclovan (14) and Middleton's Max McConnell (10) combined for 24 TW saves.
