Wisconsin advances to semifinal round Sunday evening

Wisconsin's Luc Kreuser had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 7-1 win over Indiana.

Kreuser found the back of the net on the power play 3:59 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Wisconsin and again while 9:10 into the second to make the score 3-1 Wisconsin.

Wisconsin's offense rang up 31 shots on Indiana's net. Wisconsin cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.

Wisconsin also got points from Colin McBride, who also had one goal and two assists and Adam Stanton, who also registered one goal and two assists. Wisconsin also had goals scored by Brady BeekmanZachary Leggon, and Colton Raymond, who scored one goal each. In addition, Wisconsin received assists from Ryan Mantz, who had three and Nate AndersonZachary Lanz, and Logan Conkey, who each chipped in one.

Indiana found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 13 shots against Wisconsin's defense.

Indiana was led by George Pippen, who scored the team's only goal. Pippen scored 1:32 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Ian Grise assisted on the tally.

Wisconsin's William Shober stopped 12 shots out of the 13 that he faced. Wisconsin incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Connor Minnick rejected 24 shots on goal for Indiana. Indiana incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.

Adam Stanton had two goals and one assist to lead Wisconsin to a 7-2 victory over Colorado.

Stanton scored at 18 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 44 seconds into the second to make the score 2-1 Wisconsin.

Wisconsin forced Colorado's goalies to work without much rest, taking 36 shots and forcing 29 saves. Brady Mielnicki made 12 stops and Andrew Nash made 17. Wisconsin managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Wisconsin finished below its season average of 4.0 penalty minutes per game.

Wisconsin also got points from Zachary Leggon, who also had one goal and one assist, Ryan Mantz, who also racked up two goals and one assist, and Colton Raymond, who also registered one goal and one assist. Brady Beekman also scored for Wisconsin. Other players who recorded assists for Wisconsin were Lucas Kreuser, who had three and Zachary LanzLogan Conkey, and Colin McBride, who contributed one each.

Colorado did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting nine shots on net to force seven saves.

Colorado was helped by Zachery Hinkle, who tallied one goal. Hinkle scored 16:44 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Colorado. Sam Thrutchley provided the assist. Colorado also got a goal from Noah Hernandez as well. More assists for Colorado came via Jake CooleySydney Harris, and Sean Dekramer, who each chipped in one.

Wisconsin's William Shober stopped seven shots out of the nine that he faced. Wisconsin registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities. Colorado ended with no penalties and went 0-for-1 on the power play.

William Shober had a standout game with 32 saves, and Wisconsin beat District of Columbia 5-1.

Wisconsin was led by Eliot Friedow, who tallied one goal and one assist. Friedow scored 9:52 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Wisconsin. Steven Spencerassisted on the tally.

Wisconsin excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Wisconsin additionally got points from Brady Beekman, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. District of Columbia forced Wisconsin goalie Shober to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. Penalties took their toll on District of Columbia, as its penalty kill unit let in two power play goals. District of Columbia's defense was uncharacteristically lax during the game. District of Columbia averages 2.5 goals allowed per game.

District of Columbia was led by Billy Jenkins, who scored the team's only goal. Jenkins scored 12:50 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Wisconsin. Daniel Fisher picked up the assist.

Wisconsin incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Connor Inglefield made 23 saves for District of Columbia on 28 shots. District of Columbia incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.

Luc Kreuser had four goals and one assist to lead Wisconsin to a 7-1 victory over Texas.

Kreuser's first goal came 1:51 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:40 into the first, at 16:02 into the second, and at 10:50 into the third.

Wisconsin also got points from Ryan Mantz, who also registered two goals and three assists to lead the team in points. Wisconsin also got a goal from Zachary Leggon as well. More assists for Wisconsin came via Colton Raymond, who had two and Jeffrey HicksBrady Beekman, and Adam Stanton, who contributed one each.

Texas managed to stay out of the box for the most part, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The total was was till above Texas' average of 1.0 minutes in penalty time per game. Texas did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Texas puts an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game.

William Shober recorded 17 saves for Wisconsin. Wisconsin incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. George McBey rejected 18 shots on goal for Texas. Texas registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
