KM's Freeman one of the best hockey players in the state

Lasers defender has squad near top of state rankings

As a defenseman, Connor Freeman of Kettle Moraine is one of the best high school hockey players in the state. From the start of the game to the finish, he does everything on that side of the ice to allow his Kettle Moraine/Mukwonago/Oconomowoc team to win.

But here's where the KM senior becomes one of the most productive and unique players in all of Wisconsin. As a standout on defense, Freeman also has wonderful offensive skills. How many high school defenders are one of the top two scorers in their conference?

As of this week, Freeman ranks second in the Classic 8 in scoring with 31 points. For the season, he has pounded in 12 goals to go along with his conference-leading 19 assists. Only Riley Keays of Brookfield/Catholic Memorial ranks ahead of Freeman with 33 points.
