A chance meeting with Mike Welch in 1996 when he was a junior varsity hockey coach at McFarland set the stage for a long partnership and friendship that carried through Reedsburg High School hockey’s formative seasons.

The pair are the primary constant that has seen the program put a 200-167-8 record together since then – including 3-0-1 mark to open the 2014-15 campaign.
