Badger Thunder pick up first win of the season

While it is a non-conference game, it was a game that could have sectional implications later in the season.

Pawlak's combine for four goals

Badger Thunder played their only scheduled home game at the Reedsburg Area Community Arena on Tuesday, December 2nd.  The Badger Thunder hosted Black River Falls in a non-conference game.

Rachel Pawlak scored the first Badger Thunder goal at 9:41 of the first period with Paige Pawlak picking up the assist.  Rachel picked up her second goal at 12:44 with Paige  assisting once again.

There was no scoring in the second period.  However, twenty-five seconds into the third period Paige Pawlak scored the third goal for the Thunder with Rachel Pawlak and Emma Capener assisting.  Paige picked up her second goal of the game at 2:38 with Capener and Courtney Sakry assisting.

Jamie Dutton had 50 saves in the game for the Badger Thunder, while Mollie Lelonek had 11 saves for Black River Falls.

Badger Thunder (1-1-0) will play their next home game on Friday, December 5th, at the Sauk Prairie Area Rec Center in Prairie du Sac at 7:00 PM.  They will take on the Stoughton Co-op Icebergs (0-2-1) in Badger Conference play.  The Icebergs have two time Jesse Vetter Award winner, Kenzy Torpy in net.

Black River Falls (2-2-0) will host the WSFLGUS Blizzard (0-4-0) on Friday, December 5th, at Milt Lunda Arena in Black River Falls.
