Kettle Moraine's annual Thankgiving "Turkey Shootout" tournament will now be known as the "Barry M. Fieber Memorial Hockey Tournament," in honor or long time Kettle Moraine hockey supporter and leader, Barry Fieber who was lost to cancer in 1998.

The sentiment wasn't uncommon within the district when Barry Fieber and others began pursuing a boys hockey team at the high school. An advocate of the sport with sons who played, Fieber ran into resistance when it came to ice time and the threat of stealing athletes from other KM sports programs.
