Madison Memorial senior forward Ty Pelton-Byce made it official Thursday night when he signed his name on the dotted line of a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of Massachusetts following his junior career.

In February, Byce said:

"My decision to choose the University of Massachusetts was due to their outstanding facilities, great academics, the up-tempo style of the play that they offer, and phenomenal coaching staff."

Pelton-Byce played two games with the USHL Muskegon Lumberjacks last fall, scoring one assist.

The 6-1, 175-pound forward has scored 173 points (81g-92a) in his three years at Memorial, including 40 goals and 47 assists last year for the resurgent Spartans, who went 17-8-1.

The Minutemen play in the Hockey East Association.
