Eleven players with Wisconsin ties chosen

Eleven Wisconsin players were chosen in the NAHL Entry Draft held today.

The Coulee Region Chill were aggressive in grabbing hometown talent early as they picked two Wisconsin HS defensemen with their first two picks. With their selection in the first round, they snagged Robby Fosdick of Brookfield in the tenth overall pick.

Nineteen picks later, the Chill selected blueliner Jackson Charlesworth of Antigo.

Former Northland Pines forward Adam Kresl was chosen by Aberdeen as the 42nd overall pick (2-18).

The third round saw two Badger Boyz tabbed by NAHL teams as Stoughton forward Aussie Miller was picked by Coulee Region at 3-12 (60th overall) and Waukesha's Zed Dietrich was grabbed by Michigan four selections later.

Notre Dame defenseman Luke Davison was named by Minot at 5-6 (101st overall).

Four rounds later, NDA alum Riley Christensen was chosen by Amarillo as the 12th pick in the ninth round (#178).

Three Wisconsin players were named a couple rounds later.

With pick 11-6, Milwaukee area native Lane Valimont was grabbed by Wenatchee. Two picks later, Sussex forward Luke Novak went to Bismarck. Pick 11-10 went to Austin, who chose Northland Pines forward Zach Kennedy.

The final Wisconsin player chosen was Hayward area d-man Nick Eytcheson with pick 12-6 (206th overall).
