Ice Bears junior forward notches two game winners

Courtney Wittig just had an average weekend at the state tournament in Madison; in two games, she scored six points (4g-2a), had a +4 rating, and notched a short-handed goal.

Oh, and she had the short-handed game-winning goal in the Ice Bears' 2-1 OT over Central Wisconsin and had the game-winner in Bay Area's 6-5 championship win over Onalaska.

For that, Wittig has been named the girls state tournament MVP by the WiPH staff and selected media members.

She was joined on the first team by teammates Kelsey Rafferty, Nicole Niemi, and Lindsey Strainis.
