Lizzi Schieldt, Metro Lynx shake postseason bug

Middleton co-op senior Lizzi Schieldt never lost sight of the preseason goal she set for her and her teammates as they took on the Baraboo co-op Thursday night in a WIAA girls hockey regional final game.

For the first three years of her prep career, Schieldt and Middleton had come up empty in the postseason. But the forward made sure she wouldn’t end her career empty-handed, scoring twice to lead the Metro Lynx past the Badger Thunder 2-0 at Madison Ice Arena.
